![]() ![]() when I arrived at my departing gate, they just started with boarding. When I did my connection last week, I had no lines at passport control at 2f and no lines at security at 2e. eco lines were a bit longer, do not know the waiting time there.Īfter security, follow the signs to your gate, you have to do another bus ride to the new area, a new provisional terminal with your final gate. Security at 2e: we were lucky travelling in first, extra line with no waiting time. at the end, go upstairs and follow the sign to your departing gate which will lead you directly into security. between bus drop and leaving the security area after customs calculate about 7 minutes.Īfter customs and after leaving the secuirity area, follow the sign to 2e, a straight and shot walk through a tunnel like area with all the car rentals. after passport control follow exit sign again, go through customs (no waiting time, usually no control). if you have a european passport - including a swiss one - the lines are shorter, non-eu were a bit longer, extra waiting time approx 5 minutes. switzerland is non-schengen, so you have to go through passport control. If you should take the walk: after the bus from the remote parking position dropped you off at 2f, follow the sign exit. all happened to me and therefore my rule is: if the terminal transfer in a short walk only, I always take the walk! Cdg trminal 2e full#but it can happen that the waiting time for a bus takes much longer: no bus is comming, a long waiting line and/or the bus arriving is already full and you have to wait for the next one. it is right that this terminal transfer by bus should not take more then 5-10 minutes. The terminal transfer 2f to 2e is in walking distance, it is just the opposite terminal. all pax fit in one bus, bus transfer to terminal took about 7 minutes. at cdg, remote parking possition, deplaning and bus transfer to the terminal. sometimes the engines start some minutes later due to traffic a cdg, but even with that, the arrival at cdg is usually on time. Zrh-cdg was on time, never had any serious delays with the 7.35 departure from zrh. Two weeks ago, it took me 1 hour 15 minutes just to go through security at E80-87 this past weekend, there was no one - I went through in 2 minutes.ĭid zrh-cdg-lax last week, the lax flight departs cdg as the sfo flight at 10.15 But it all depends on the time and crowds and what flights are scheduled there. The E80-87 area security however can be a real bottleneck as there are only 2 security checkpoints, one for non-Schengen pax., and the other for Schengen arriving pax. if leaving from gates E70-77, security is not too bad as there are quite a few checkpoints and machines. Luckily though, 2E is the first stop on this route. there is a direct bus from 2F Non-Schengen to the satellite remote 2E (Gates E80-87) - takes about 7-10 minutes if she is leaving from gates E70-77, then it's the main terminal 2E via the regular connections bus (that also serves 2A, 2C, 2B). The early ZRH-CDG is usually quite on time (unless there is fog at CDG or something which delays incoming short-hauls) especially since the schedule is quite padded. the ZRH-CDG flights are operated by Cityjet and will always park remotely bus transfer from aircraft to 2F Non-Schengen is about 3-4 minutes. I do ZRH-CDG-US a lot and here are some points: Otherwise, the odds don't look that good unless AF uses a bord a bord procedure to rush your wife from her arrival point in CDG (jetway or remote stand) to the security screening in the boarding area (Terminal 2E or Satellite H). If it is on time and you have a jetway, it could be doable. Much will depend on whether the flight from ZRH is on time and whether it has a jetway and not a remote stand. ![]() Nevertheless, there are recent reports that indicate that you can have a direct shuttle from 2F to either 2E or Satellite H. ![]() One hour seems short for such a connection in CDG. Nevertheless, she will have to go through security when going into 2E or into the remote satellite, Satellite H, also used for flights leaving from 2E. So, no immigration, nor customs when going through CDG from ZRH to SFO. Status: ConfirmedZRH is still non-Schengen. To: San Francisco Int'l (SFO), San Francisco, USA,Terminal: I To: Charles De Gaulle (CDG), Paris, France,Terminal: 2Fįrom: Charles De Gaulle (CDG), Paris, France,Terminal: 2E Is ZRH considered "non-Schengen?" Will she have to go through customs and security again, or can she walk directly to 2E? I have been through CDG countless times, but can't remember this one and have heard of a few changes in Terminal 2 recently. We are a bit worried about the transfer time of one hour. My wife is traveling on Thursday (ZRH-SFO), through CDG. ![]()
